Undoubtedly, the Dual Sense is one of the most important elements of Playstation 5. This new control offers an experience that, to date, is not possible even in Xbox nor in Switch. Sadly, this peripheral is still not officially supported in pcbut according to a leak, it looks like it will eventually.
Currently, the only way to update the firmware of the Dual Sense is through a PS5, so those who do not have one, will not be able to do it. Obviously, this affects PC users, but as I told you before, it seems that Sony is already working on providing official support for the Dual Sense and its updates on this platform.
According to a license agreement removed, Sony is working on launching a client that allows updating the Dual Sense directly from a pc either Mac. The bad news is that, beyond this, we do not know when this application could make its debut, so we just have to wait for official confirmation.
Publisher’s note: Considering that Sony is already bringing several of its exclusives to PC, it makes sense that they would want to expand their coverage for the DualSense on this other platform as well. This also means that some PS5 exclusives could make the jump to this other platform shortly.
