Morgan is working hard in the process of developing a new generation of its iconic model. There will be a new Morgan 3 Wheeler. The British firm brings us closer to the tests it is carrying out and has confirmed some keys about the novelties that will be introduced.
Morgan has confirmed that he is working on the process of developing a new generation of the popular Morgan 3 Wheeler. This iconic model will be completely revamped to catch up and continue to deal with an elite market. The current generation has already finished its production. At the end of last August the last copy was manufactured and now all eyes are on the aforementioned generational change.
The British brand allows us to get closer to the development and, more specifically, to the tests it is carrying out on the road, through some very interesting photographs. The prototype that we can see in the snapshots that illustrate this article is undergoing durability tests and, as is obvious, it presents a characteristic camouflage to avoid prying eyes.
The Morgan 3 Wheeler will return to the market
By confirming that the 3 Wheeler will have continuity in the Morgan range, the company begins a new chapter in its history. And we must bear in mind that this model is one of the central pillars on which the company is based. In addition, the manufacturer has left the door open to a possible name change since it points to the fact that “the name of the new three-wheel model has not yet been confirmed.”
Morgan places particular emphasis on the fact that the new generation 3 Wheeler will boast a completely new design, an adventurous character and important engineering advances. The brand has paid attention to the comments made by owners of the outgoing model and, above all, their experience through the trips carried out on board it.
It has also been confirmed that the new 3 Wheeler will remain an internal combustion engine vehicle. Will make use of a three-cylinder gasoline engine of Ford origin. There are no more official details regarding the mechanical section, but the fact of opting for said engine is a declaration of intentions.
Production of the outgoing generation of the 3 Wheeler began in 2011. At the beginning of 2021 the order book closed, putting an end to a commercial journey full of successes within its category.
