The Detroit Auto Show 2022 already has an official date for its celebration. The important automobile event will return after its absence in the last two years due to the coronavirus pandemic. The organization has announced on which days the new edition of the Detroit Motor Show will take place.
Everything is ready for the return of one of the most relevant events in the North American automotive industry. The Detroit Auto Show 2022 will be a reality. After the absence of these last two years, a new edition of this very important event will be held. An event that had to be canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The organization behind the Detroit Show has officially announced the date and place where the event will take place. An event that will take place in the second half of this year and in which, predictably, the health situation, will allow the celebration of the car show under normal conditions.
Detroit Auto Show Date 2022
When will the Detroit Motor Show 2022 be held? The Detroit Automobile Dealers Association (DADA) officially announced that the event will return to downtown Detroit, Michigan. Historic Auto Show will take place at Huntington Place (formerly TCF Center) from September 14 to 25.
The sessions aimed especially at the specialized press will be on September 14 and 15. Days in which the pertinent press conferences will be held by the different brands and manufacturers present there. The opening to the public will take place on September 17. On September 16 the Charity Preview will take place.
Beyond the main show at Huntington Place, all kinds of activities will be organized in the city center. In addition to the models that will be presented in society, the organization highlights that the technology that allows global mobility and the race for electrification will play a leading role in the event. All this with the position of the state of Michigan as an incubator for mobility and technology.
Auto shows are back to normal
The coronavirus pandemic has had dramatic effects on auto shows. The health situation has forced the cancellation of many of the most iconic motor racing events both in Europe and in other parts of the world. The Detroit Auto Show has not been oblivious to this situation and, as we have previously pointed out, the last edition took place in 2019. The return of this fair is key for the American automotive industry to truly return to normality.
