Among the great Netflix releases for February 2022 there is one that has made a lot of noise in the United States. I mean the documentary miniseries ‘Jeen-yuhs’which has caused a strong confrontation between the musician kanye-west and the streaming platform. Now we have a trailer in order to better assess what to expect from this work.
Described as “A Kanye West trilogy“, ‘Jeen-yuhs’ counts as Clarence Simmons he met Kanye West long before he became a big rap star. He was so impressed that he decided to move from Chicago to New York to document his trajectory without either of them knowing where they were going.
The origin of the controversy
A priori, ‘Jeen-yuhs’ should have been released without making much noise beyond the fact that it was shot over two decades. The problem is that West demanded the right to approve the final cut of it, a request that directors Simmons and Chike Ozah they rejected. For its part, Netflix, which paid $30 million to do with their rights, has not ruled on the matter.
Divided into three installments, the first could already be seen during the recent Sundance Festival, while its premiere on Netflix is scheduled for February 16th -and everything indicates that a new episode will be released every week-. It will be then when we discover if this controversy really made sense or if Kanye West simply watches too much the data about him that comes to light.
