Thanks to the very favorable first reactions of those who have already been able to see Flash, it is likely that Warner Bros. and DC Studios are considering keeping the director responsible for that promising film in their ranks, in order to also lead one or more future projects in the DC Universe. But, perhaps he will already have a specific project on his hands? This week, a brief but highly suspicious statement from Andy Muschietti fueled the rumor that the Argentine filmmaker is highly targeted to direct Batman: The Brave and the Boldone of the upcoming titles announced by James Gunn, co-chairman of DC Studios, in January 2023.
The statement was captured by Josh K. Elliot during the current promotional tour for Flash. In the video shared via Twitter, the interviewer is heard asking Muschietti what his version of The Brave and the Boldwhich led to an “interesting” response from the director.
ELLIOT: You inherited two Batmans. [para The Flash], Tim Burton’s Batman and Zack Snyder’s Batman. If you had a chance to put your own Batman in the direction of The Brave and the Boldwhat kind of twist would you want to give to that character?
MUSCHIETTI: Oh, I don’t think I can talk about that… yet.
At the moment, there is almost nothing we know about the film Batman: The Brave and the Bold that is brewing inside DC Studios. One fact is that it will have no relation to Robert Pattinson’s Batman or Ben Affleck’s. Instead, it will be based on the comic of the same name created by Grant Morrison, where the masked vigilante fights crime alongside his biological son Damian Wayne, aka Robin.

Now, what did Andy Muschietti mean by not yet being able to talk about how he imagines his own version of Batman? Minimum seems to indicate that there is indeed interest on his part in taking the reins of that film adaptation. As to whether there have been talks with Warner Bros. and DC Studios, that’s not official yet. Although as far as the insiders from account Big Screen Leakspresumably there is already a “insured director” for The Brave and the Bold, as reported last week on Twitter. If true, could it be Muschietti? What do you think?
Under the direction of Andy Muschietti, Flash It will arrive in Mexican theaters on June 15. The cast is made up of Ezra Miller (Barry Allen / Flash), Sasha Calle (Supergirl), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West), Ron Livingston (Henry Allen) and Maribel Verdú (Nora Allen), as well as Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton in their respective versions of Bruce Wayne / Batman.
Antonio G. Spindola I have very bad memory. Out of solidarity with my memories, I choose to lose myself too. Preferably in a movie theater.
