With August, a new school year begins for young people in Mexico. On the 8th of the month, the UNAM students started classes and on the 15th those who study at the IPN will do so.
In this context, some undergraduate students wonder if they chose their career well and one of the parameters that is usually considered is whether or not they will bring good remuneration.
Lowest paid careers in Mexico 2022
Below we detail the 10 worst paid careers, according to the Imco and what is their salary perception:
- Educational orientation: average salary of 8,673 pesos.
- Teacher training for initial or special education: average salary of 9,468 pesos.
- Social work: average salary of 9,469 pesos.
- Foreign languages: average salary 10,138 pesos.
- Physical rehabilitation: average salary of 10,175 pesos.
- Didactics and pedagogy: average salary of 10,290 pesos.
- Teacher training for primary: average salary of 10,407 pesos.
- Teacher training for general programs: average salary of 10,512 pesos.
- Criminology: average salary of 10,684 pesos
- Agricultural and livestock production: average salary 10,748 pesos.
The Imco lists also include how many professionals each career has, which ones have more women and men, which ones offer better salaries and which careers have a higher unemployment rate, mainly.
