The China Shuai Zhang, WTA number 8 and Australian tennis player John Peers, number 12 of the ATP met the forecasts by winning by 7-5 and 6-3 in one hour and twelve minutes to the Dutch player Wesley Kohloff, number 21 in the ATP and the American tennis player Bernarda Pera, number 45 in the ATP in the round of 16 of the Australian Open. After this result, the couple managed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
