The Cape Verdean center Walter Tavares will be absent this Friday in the Euroleague clash against Baskonia, on matchday 21, as he is the third positive for COVID-19 in the Real Madrid squad, after those of the Serbian power forward Tristan Vukcevic and Spanish forward Rudy Fernandez.
Real Madrid reported in a statement the contagion of Tavares through its website and social networks.
Since the middle of last December, there are already thirteen Real Madrid players who have suffered from coronavirus in an outbreak that left coach Pablo Laso and French point guard Thomas Heurtel as the first affected.
