EA and FIFA announced last week the termination of their agreement to develop games under the FIFA title. This agreement was active for more than 30 years and came to an end due to disagreements between EA and FIFA. take-two works with various sports games including the NBA, WWE, NFL and more. During an IGN interview with Take-Two’s CEO, he was asked if they wanted to acquire the FIFA license. He did not give any definitive statement, but T2 stated that they want to continue expanding their sports video game section. In the event that Take-Two takes over the development of the next FIFA 2024, it will have to compete against EA’s new soccer installment named EA Sports FC.
