Microsoft continues to bet on Windows for ARM with Surface Pro X. On this occasion, it will be Windows 11 who will take over from the operating system in the RISC architecture along with a new processor and a design that has been very well received by the media and users. .
As we can see, the device keeps its original name, so we should not expect too many changes beyond a revision of the processor, the operating system and new variants without 4G connectivity. The objective is to offer versions with a lower price.

The main difference in device specifications is in the processor. The Microsoft SQ3 would be released with the new Surface Pro X 2021 and it would be a variant of the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, which Qualcomm would present towards the month of December.
Therefore, we will not have too much news on this device. However, since Windows Central speculate on the possibility of a new variant that lacks the 4G modem with the intention of lowering the price and increasing interest and demand in this segment.
Windows 11 optimized for ARM
The inclusion of Windows 11 in the new edition of Surface Pro X is great news for users. Recall that Microsoft’s operating system has a new process scheduler. Therefore, it will more efficiently distribute the tasks between the efficient or high-performance cores of the processor.
In addition to the improvement in performance that this implies, we should obtain greater autonomy in ARM devices with Windows 11. On the other hand, incompatibilities in the emulation of x86 or x64 applications should be reduced thanks to other changes made by Microsoft in this field .
Surface Pro X price and availability
If currently, Surface Pro X starts from 1,699 euros, it is expected that this year the variants with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage will return. The starting price of this edition is 1,149 euros. However, by withdrawing 4G connectivity, it could start at 1,049 euros.
In this way, Surface Pro X would be aligned in prices with Surface Pro 8. Recall that the price of Surface Slim Pen and the Type Cover keyboard should be added. Therefore, it would be necessary to add 159.99 and 149.99 euros, respectively.
Regarding availability, Surface Pro X 2021 will be announced at the event on September 22. Nevertheless, It is not expected to be available until Christmas.
