After using the same motto for 80 years, Superman will change his phrase to suit the new times.
Currently Superman is undergoing major changes in the comics as it has been revealed that Jonathan Kent, the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, will come out bisexual soon.
Now the creative director and editor of Dc comics, Jim Lee, announced that Superman’s iconic catchphrase from “Truth, Justice and the American Way” will be changed to “Truth, justice and a better tomorrow” as the new motto of the character.
This catchphrase didn’t actually originate from the comics, but rather came from the old radio serials of the 1940s. This latest change is intended to represent that Superman he’s a superhero for everyone, not just Americans. Perhaps they are trying to reverse the fact that the man of steel is losing popularity to Batman, his great companion of the League of Justice.
In the cinema his future is uncertain.
While they are trying to renew the image of Superman In the comics, in the movies we don’t know if we’ll ever see Henry cavill on the paper. Since they will release many films like Black adam, The batman, The Flash, Aquaman 2, Shazam! 2 or Wonder woman 3, but in none of them will the great hero of Dc comics. Although it seems that JJ Abrams continue with the idea of restarting it with the actor Michael B. Jordan.
Although it is clear that Henry cavill has been very interested in returning as Superman and as in Warner Bros. managers have changed, anything could happen. But for now we can only wait to find out which way they are going.
Meanwhile, we can see it in HBO Max in the series Superman & Lois starring Tyler hoechlin as Clark Kent and Elizabeth tulloch like Lois Lane.
