Good news arrives for all the fans of Cyberpunk 2077well Studio Triggerthe creator studio behind some of the world’s biggest anime franchises, is ready to dive into the world of CD Projekt’s game.
This video game that by itself spanned quite a few stories in the realm of Night City, and now the Netflix anime series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is set to drop some new stories for the streaming service, with Trigger taking the opportunity to highlight the style that gave it its unique stamp, within the Netflix series.
And it is not new that Netflix expands its anime catalog, especially video game adaptations, since it has Castlevania and The Witcher becoming some of the favorite series of the fans, in addition, he is also currently working with series such as farcryDevil May Cry, and a new Castlevania series, so Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is in good company.
So, Studio Trigger took the opportunity to reveal new details about their upcoming video game adaptation at the panel: “Trigger admits that their team was partially inspired by Blade Runner when designing Lucy. The group wanted to give the character a more mature look compared to previous titles with students, kids, and more. And overall, Trigger thinks that its entire cast of characters is engaging.”
The actor who will give the English voice of David will be Zach Aguilarwho also does the dubbed voice of Tanjiro in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and according to the Trigger team, Wakabayashi liked how both dubs sounded, either in English or Japanese.
So, the series that is ready to hit Netflix, share its official synopsis: “In a dystopia plagued by corruption and cybernetic implants, a talented but reckless street kid strives to become an edgerunner: a mercenary outlaw.”
