There is no doubt that Steam It is one of the most popular platforms that exist when it comes to playing video games in their PC version. Valve’s digital store does not stop hosting releases and that causes the number of players to skyrocket, as has been well reflected in the new record it has achieved.
A few months ago we informed you that the number of simultaneously connected users had touched 28 million, but this weekend the 30 million barrier has been exceeded. According to the data provided by SteamDB, it was specifically on Sunday, October 23 at 4:00 p.m. when it was established a new record of 30,032,005 users.
However, that does not mean that all of them were playing something at the time. To give you a better idea, the same data indicates that 8,504,647 users were inside a game, while the rest were simply connected to Steam.
On the other hand, although it is true that lately there have been very outstanding releases such as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Gotham Knights or A Plague Tale: Requiem, none of them are actually among the most played titles, since the usual ones appear on that same list, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DOTA 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds in the top three.
