Starbucks and NotCo make the dream come true, it already has plant-based options in its branches
Today people are more selective when buying a product, especially in the face of concern for the environment, health, and other factors. As the number of consumers demanding plant-based foods is growing, that’s why Starbucks reinforces its commitment to reduce its carbon footprint by 50 percent, while offering its customers a range of food and beverage options that meet your preferences and fit your lifestyle.
Starbucks Mexico created an alliance with NotCo presenting new options on its menu with 100 percent flexitarian dishes, these are the Baguette NotBurger and Baguette NotChicken seasoned with NotMayo and accompanied by its delicious guacamole. Customers may also have NotMilk, a plant-based alternative, as an option.
“We work with our partners in a very close way, to support the launches that we make together without conditioning their processes, the idea is that we can enjoy our favorite dish with different ingredients but the same flavor. We love that by replacing their animal protein with a NotCo product, naturally they are already offering more sustainable products and offering a delicious flavor”, said Federico Hirtz, Manager of NotCo Mexico.
Among the main ingredients of the NotBurger Baguette are peas, coconut, rice, cocoa and beets, while NotChicken has ingredients such as sunflower oil, peas, broad beans and chickpea flour.
