The next few years will leave us with at least eight Star Wars video games, that’s a lot! We tell you what they are, in this note!
With the recent announcement of three new Star Wars projects from EA and Respawn Entertainment, the franchise confirms a total of eight video games in simultaneous development. Looks like we’ll have a lot of stories! We tell you what they are, in this note!
Star Wars Hunters
Among the next Star Wars games we find SW Hunters, a MOBA set some time after the fall of the Galactic Empire, so it takes the opportunity to introduce various locations and characters of the moment. The latest trailer gave us a glimpse of the available heroes, such as an Ughnaught piloting a droideka, a Wookiee, a lightsaber-wielding droid, and a stormtrooper, among others. The fights will take place in a “big arena” with teams of four users each. It will arrive sometime in 2022 for Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
This year, TT Games will launch LEGO SW: The Skywalker Saga, an experience that brings together the story of Skywalker in all nine films, with more than 300 characters to control and several worlds with the design that is so characteristic of LEGO: blocks, humor for all family, puzzles and lots of exploration. It will launch on April 5 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake
The remake of SW KOTOR that we were waiting for so much, from the hand of Aspyr. It is an RPG set in the Old Republic, in which we control a young apprentice who must build his own path with friendships, battles, and decisions that will position him on the light side or the dark side. It has no release date.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2
The sequel to SW Jedi Fallen Order was confirmed this morning, but there are still no details about its story, world building, much less a release date. The first game arrived in 2019 and quickly became one of the best Star Wars experiences in recent years.
Ubisoft’s Star Wars
Another video game without details is Ubisoft’s Star Wars in development by Massive, the creators of The Division who are also working on the long-awaited Avatar game. For now, we know it will be an open world single player experience powered by the Snowdrop graphics engine.
FPS and strategy game
Respawn Entertainment is also working on a Star Wars FPS. Nothing was mentioned about its story, setting, or release date, but it did confirm that the project will be directed by Peter Hirchsmann, who worked on the original Battlefronts as an executive producer. On the other hand, the same studio will create a strategy game, and although it has never ventured into this genre, it has the help of employees such as Greg Foerstch, who worked on Firaxis for XCOM.

Finally, SW will get an action-adventure game from Quantic Dream, the creators of Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain, and Detroit Become Human. At the moment, the closest thing to knowing what it is about is its reveal trailer at Game Awards.
