Through a post on his Twitter account, Takaya Imamura told Nintendo that while he feels Star Fox Zero has some issues, they should bring it to the Nintendo Switch. In addition, the character designer took the opportunity to share the Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins short film and offered to work on a sequel.
