Embarked on a difficult situation, SsangYong continues to work with the advancement of new models that will populate its offer in the coming years. A demonstration of vitality and that has manifested itself with the sketches of a new SUV with dimensions typical of a segment D called SsangYong Torres.
After the fiasco of the attempted purchase of SsangYong by Edison Motors that occurred a few months ago, the Korean firm continues to search for a new investor to alleviate the important burden that it accumulates behind its back, which does not mean that it is not in a position to present news. Rather, just the opposite, the Koreans show their vitality with the advancement of future models, and one specifically battery electric.
Embarked on the electrification strategy and with the important market launch of the new SsangYong Korando e-Motion, the brand has another ace up its sleeve that it has just presented in some interesting previews, some sketches of the SsangYong Torres. It is one of the most anticipated production models of the Korean manufacturer, and whose debut is scheduled for 2022, until now known as SsangYong J100which we have seen in spy photos and whose main aesthetic features coincide 100%.
SsangYong Torres, the new zero emission SUV
The bold design on the front fully matches the sighting in South Korea, with a few thin, slanted headlights that add a high modern touch to the model, a very vertical front and a new grille design, closed and with a bumper with more sporty shapes. At the opposite end, it shines with some vertical pilots and a new light signature of LEDwhile also featuring a striking rear.
The new Torres also offers a completely new side, with a striking rear pillar in satin aluminum in contrast to the bodywork, which leaves a wrap-around rear window. SsangYong’s new model also sits on large alloy wheels and leaves a high height of the body to the ground, despite being an electric model tending to be lowereven despite being an SUV.
The brand, which has positioned the new Torres as a model halfway between the Korando and the Rexton, will soon unveil this second electric that will be a real turning point for the brand, a true aesthetic revolution. For now, we do not know the specifications of this future model, which SsangYong keeps until the moment of revelation, but what he has indicated is that he will have a off-road accessory package for purer Jeep or Land Rover style driving. In a few weeks we hope that SsangYong will clear all doubts.
