After the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII began, the director of the original game and producer of the remake Yoshinori Kitase has announced that hopefully Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 news will be offered later this year. This is not the first time that the title has been discussed, although it is the first time that an approximate date is given to talk about the long-awaited sequel.
Kitase said during the FF7 25th Anniversary stream today:
“Hmm, FF7R Part 2 news…I wonder if we can even drop news this year…” and people responded with “you can’t??”
Kitase then says with “Ah, well…I guess we’ll announce more news later this year!” #FF7R pic.twitter.com/qgEtuK6n8Q

Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will explore the “vast world” of the original game right after the end of INTERmission, the expansion starring Yuffie Kisaragi. “As for the improvements and changes, since the next installment will involve Cloud and company leaving Midgar and exploring the world map, our next challenge will be to create gameplay that takes advantage of the vastness of the world, unlike what we did in the title. current”, he assured himself in his day.
The last few times that we have had news of the sequel, we have known that its development is progressing progressively. One of the co-directors of the game advanced that “the next installments will take place in areas that, honestly, I have forgotten“, taking as an example the transition from Midgar to Kalm, and how you have to go through all of that to build a coherent reason for traveling to said village. Luckily, if the next few months of the year are effective for the development team, Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will be able to make its presentation at the end of the year, maybe at The Game Awards 2022?
