Although we have already seen the new sedan also in other tests on this circuit, now it can be seen one of the most traditional versions and that will not be lost in this generation of the model known internally as “W214”. As you can see, the radiator grille is presented with the classic horizontal and very thin slatstypical of a special finish called «Exclusive», and which is usually more for sale in China than in Europe. But with a big difference on the Asian market the star is on the edge of the bonnet, just above the radiator grillewhile in these snapshots it appears camouflaged in the center of the grid and with a size as generous as in the other sightings.
This grill design, which honors the classic models of the German brand, is usually associated with the long wheelbase models sold in the Asian giant, but this detail is not appreciated in this prototype of the new E-Class, which suggests that it will also be for sale in Europe. For the time being, the rest remain unchanged, with the classic proportions of the model and with the characteristic semicircular design of the glazed surface. An important transformation that the Class E 2023 will undergo, and that we also look forward to seeing inside, that we know promises differentiation with the modern interiors of the C-Class and S-Class.
The Mercedes E-Class will debut at the end of the year and will be officially on sale in spring 2023. About a yeararriving with a varied range of engines of in-line four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel, plus three plug-in hybrid versions that it will inherit from the new GLC, all available with a 9-speed automatic transmission and the possibility of being associated with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, while the electrical part is already covered with the newcomer EQE.
