- The Warriors rally 19 points to the Lakers at Staples with a great second half from their star
- LA leaves 14 ahead in the fourth quarter after an ill-fated night in the shooting of its star duo
- The Lakers have lost their last seven meetings held on Martin Luther King Jr.
The Golden State Warriors rallied from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 113-115 thanks to the magic of Stephen Curry and his 26 points and the efficiency of Kelly Oubre Jr., who accompanied him with 23 points in his best game to date with his new team.
LeBron James, author of 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, scored the triple that gave the maximum advantage (97-83) at the beginning of the final quarter to the Lakers, who surprisingly collapsed and ended up losing on the horn after a failure of LeBron from the perimeter.
To see Steph make that 3 to take the game to 115 and LeBron miss the game winning shot…. Amazing #GSWvsLAL #GSW pic.twitter.com/8OhB9m7pLs

The Lakers received a 15-2 run that unraveled all the way in a matter of minutes. The first lead in the meeting for Golden State came 2:40 from the conclusion in an irregular game by Frank Vogel’s pupils.
Anthony Davis had 17 points and 17 rebounds, while Dennis Schroder was the leading scorer of his team with 25 points. LA’s stellar duo were uninspired by shooting: 6-of-16 from the field for both and 2-for-7 on 3-pointers for LeBron.
Marc Gasol added 5 points, a rebound, an assist and a steal in 16 minutes on the court. From the bench, Kyle Kuzma had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Montrezl Harrel added 17 and 8.
On Martin Luther King Day, the Lakers accumulate a surprising negative record of seven consecutive losses, and last night snapped the five-game winning streak that has placed them at the top of the rankings this season.

Curry led the Warriors’ comeback with 19 points of his 26 totals in the second half. He added 7 assists to his recital. Precisely, the visitors cut a maximum disadvantage in the game of 19 points.
In addition to the good role of Oubre Jr., those of the Bay had once again a solvent Andrew Wiggins (18), an Eric Paschall inspired from the bench (19) and a prodigious Draymond Green, who flirted with a triple-double of minimums with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists.
The great contribution of the interior, however, was to lead a defense that managed to dry LeBron and AD in the shot, key to the success of the Warriors in a day of Martin Luther King cursed for LA
