Last year, a few hours into the presentation of Nintendo in E3 leaked Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. The title will be a sequel to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and we could already see how it looks in action thanks to a trailer with gameplay. We still don’t know when this game will reach our hands, but apparently it could be delayed until 2023.
In accordance with Nate the Hate, a reliable insider from Nintendo, Sparks of Hope is at risk of being delayed until next year. This leaker does not rule out the possibility that the game could be released during the second half of this year, but he has heard several worrying things about its development so he believes that its release is more likely until 2023.
Sadly, the details end here, so we do not know exactly what kind of difficulties its development could be having. Due to the pandemic, its developers may have had to work from home, something that is obviously going to delay the process of its creation. At the time of writing, neither Ubisoft neither Nintendo have spoken about it.
Publisher’s note: I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this game was delayed until next year. Since its announcement last year we haven’t had a single detail on Sparks of Hope, so it’s easy to say its release could still be a long way off. At the end of the day, this is still a rumor and we will have to wait for some official confirmation.
