One of the promises that both PlayStation and Xbox have made for their next generation of consoles is their graphic power with which they will be able to run native games in 4K at 60 fps, and that it is even said that there will be games that can run at 120 fps and up to 8K.
Of course, in order to enjoy these benefits, we not only need a PS5 or Xbox Series X, but also a television or screen with the technical capabilities to achieve this, and although at the moment there are already many televisions of different brands that will easily comply With these requirements, Sony has wanted to launch a new label called ” Ready for PlayStation 5″ or “Ready for the PlayStation 5”, which guarantees that we will have the best image available to play.
Top televisions for a new generation console
The bad thing is that at the moment the only televisions of the firm with this seal are high-end, among which are the Sony BRAVIA XH90 and the ZH8 8K models. To explain a little more in-depth what television needs to carry this seal, the firm has given the XH90 series as an example, which stands out for the following:
- Image4K up to 120 fps.
- Reduced input lag
- BRAVIA Game Mode
- HDR.
Regarding the BRAVIA Game Mode, we are talking about a technology that boasts of seeking the lowest latency and the best image configuration based on the capabilities of the game, in this way if the title is available at 4K at 120 fps with HDR, then these will be technologies visible on the screen.
Obviously, these televisions are not “exclusive” to play on the PS5, since they basically also work for the PS4, since today there are several games that can be run in 4K at 60 fps and with HDR, the difference is that the games of the PS5 (or at least most) should run with these features, hence it is probably good to be planning an investment to buy a television with these features.
We reiterate that Sony is not the only manufacturer with televisions capable of executing the best gaming image for next-generation consoles, but the fact that this is the brand behind the PlayStation 5 leads us to think that probably if we can enjoy some benefits when playing on the PS5 with one of these screens.
The XH90 is a television that is already on sale for more than 35 thousand Mexican pesos, although the “Ready for SP5” label will receive it later through an update to be able to run games in 4K at 120fps. The ZH8 will also receive this stamp when it receives the same update, though they haven’t mentioned when this will happen.
