The parent brand of PlayStation has officially introduced INZONE, a new device brand gaming for pc with which Sony tries to delve even deeper into this booming segment for several years.
The launch of this family of devices house with other moves the company made in the pastsuch as the release of PC versions of some of the most popular PlayStation exclusive video games.
The INZONE series devices, however, not only work with PC. All of them can be used without problems with Sony consoles. However, the focus of this new brand, although this compatibility exists, is on users who usually run their favorite video games from a PC.
INZONE M3 and M9 monitors
The first member of the INZONE series is the monitor gaming INZONE M9, which leads the company’s catalog in terms of image quality. This has 4K resolution, supports DCI-P3 space up to 95%, is compatible with G-Sync, has FALD technology to significantly increase contrast, the maximum refresh rate is 144 Hz, the panel is IPS, it supports DisplayHDR600 and a latency of just 1 ms GtG. On the back, there are also plenty of ports, including two HDMI 2.1, a DisplayPort, and a PD-compatible USB-C port (so you can charge other devices). It also has two built-in 2W speakers.
This monitor, in addition, comes accompanied by a cheaper variant, baptized as INZONE M3. This Sony product has a lower resolution (Full HD), supports DisplayHDR400 and does not use FALD technology. At the same time, it has a higher refresh rate (up to 240 Hz) and maintains latency at 1 ms GtG. In terms of connectivity, it offers the same ports as the M9.
Both monitors also have a system that allows them to be converted into peripheral hubs. In this way, we can connect the keyboard or mouse directly to the monitor and this redirects the signal to the device that is active at that moment (in case of having two computers connected simultaneously to the monitor).
Both the INZONE M3 and the INZONE M9, in addition, have a series of functions of software that promise, for example, enhance the dark areas to better see the elements of a video game located in the shadows. In case of connecting with a PlayStation 5, the console will adapt the HDR content specifically for this monitor, achieving an improved experience, according to the brand.
Headphones INZONE H3, H7 and H9
On the other hand, Sony has presented three headphones for gamingnamed as INZONE H3, INZONE H7 and INZONE H9. All of them, on the outside, are reminiscent of the WH-1000XM5 that the company presented a few weeks ago. However, the focus of the product is different, despite these external similarities.
The INZONE H9 It is the most advanced model of the three. It is completely wireless, the pads are made of synthetic leather, they have active noise cancellation, they have a battery life of up to 32 hours and they have LEDs that light up when they are in operation.
The INZONE H7 It is quite similar to the H9, but dispenses with active noise cancellation and LEDs, changes the leather pads for nylon ones and increases the autonomy to 40 hours. The INZONE H3finally, they are entry-level headphones that, unlike the previous ones, work by cable.
All INZONE headphones have a dedicated high-quality microphone. They are also compatible with 360 audio technology developed by Sony for video games, which, according to the company, allows you to accurately determine the location of enemies, since they not only allow you to perceive the direction of the sound, but also the distance from which it is being produced. For this 360 audio, yes, the company has developed a complementary application that allows you to adjust its operation.
These products, although focused on PC, are also compatible with PlayStation and the immersive audio technologies that this console brought with it.
