Yesterday the movie premiered Chip’n Dale: Rescue Rangers on Disney+, which features various cameos by animated characters from Disney and other companies. One of the biggest cameos is that of Ugly Sonicthe discarded design for the Paramount Pictures movies, and thanks to a fan art we can see it together with the other versions of Sonic.
the talented illustrator Selyn posted fan art of the Sonics who have appeared in movies recreating the famous pose from the 3 Spider-Man meme. The designs used by the illustrator are the Ugly Sonic from Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Mission, the one from the two Sonic the Hedgehog movies, and the Sonic we saw in the Wreck-It Ralph movie, or Wreck-It Ralph.

Without a doubt, Ugly Sonic’s cameo was the most surprising in the film, especially since his role is not reduced to a single appearance like other characters that only appeared as an easter egg. Thanks to the Chip ‘n Dale movie we could see the discarded design for Sonic the Hedgehog again in other productions.
Since Sonic is not owned by Disney, the company had to ask permission to use his likeness. Speaking about Ugly Sonic’s cameo, the film’s director Akiva Schaffer said that it is one of the highlights of the film for him and he can only thank the lawyers for making it possible.
