SmartJob set out looking for businesses in the banking industry, where they immediately did very well.to later expand with important businesses with the main retailers in Chile.

“We were looking for something that would set us apart, something that would allow us to search for IT talent in a faster and more orderly way, in addition to generating bases and records to better meet the requirements of our clients”add.
The pandemic and the expansion
Three years ago they realized that they could not find the number of IT profiles that their projects in Chile were requiring.
“So we began to evaluate different countries in LATAM to open our operation and we considered that Colombia would be the first, a country where the technology sector has been one of the fastest growing in recent years, since it has a significant participation in the economy from the country” Victor comments.
The pandemic arrives, an event that became an accelerator of the events that the company had been reflecting on.
“The complexity of the situation meant for us an opportunity to expand throughout the region, allowing us today to have a presence with Smarts in Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru.”
New Horizons
The opening of Colombia served to open the way and enter the US, a market that they had been studying since the beginning of 2019, identifying that there was a great demand from North American companies for IT professionals for projects in the region.
In this line, it was decided to open the first office in Miami, which has meant the opportunity to complete deals 4 times larger than any of the projects carried out in Chile.
“The opening of our office in Miami has become one of our most important focuses in the last 3 years, with relevant investments that allowed us to become suppliers of one of the largest IT talent outsourcing companies in the world this year. . I have always said that the US is not a bet, a bet is a flip, it is luck. For us, the US today is a reality, an investment that through effort we have managed to carry out, with the absolute certainty that we will continue to grow,” he added.
