This week Bandai Namco announced that they are preparing a DLC for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown theme of Top Gun: Maverickthe airplane film with Tom Cruise from 1986. In addition, the company presented a wallpaper to celebrate the collaboration with the film.
This weekend is the preview of Top Gun: Maverick, but it will hit theaters on a regular basis this Wednesday, May 25. Although Bandai Namco said they plan to share more details at a later date, it was confirmed that the downloadable content will be additional fighter jets.

The collaboration of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown with Top Gun: Maverick was announced this Thursday, May 19, along with a screenshot of the game, in which we see the two planes that would arrive in the game soon. A few hours later, Bandai Namco shared a wallpaper to celebrate the announcement.
It is unknown if the planes that we see in the images that Bandai Namco shared will be the only ones that will arrive in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, so we will have to wait a little longer to know the details of this DLC. Most likely, the news will arrive from next week, along with the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in theaters.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown marked the return of the series to its classic style and arrived in January 2019, so it’s nice to see that Bandai Namco continues to release additional content. However, it is unknown if the Top Gun: Maverick DLC will be free or we will have to pay to download the new planes.
