Tiktoker experiments and shows what it’s like to do a home office in spaces like Starbucks, Vips and Open hub.
After the arrival of Covid-19, remote or mixed work became the lifeline of several companies.
A recent study reveals that the home office will be the trend among companies by 2022.
A social experiment conducted by a tiktoker or content creator recounts what it is like to work from home in spaces such as Vips, Starbucks and Open hub.
The reality that came with Covid-19 made it known that, in general, it is not entirely necessary to go to the offices to work, sometimes it is enough to have a good space, a good internet connection and, above all, desire to do it.
In this sense, we must not ignore the fact that the pandemic accelerated the digitization process that had been going on for several years throughout the world.
Within everything that happened in that period, one of the great bastions was the home office, which became the lifeline of companies to such an extent that, currently, in several companies there is a trend towards a hybrid model.
Today, many companies in Mexico are already considering returning to face-to-face workafter a period in which the pandemic forced them to seek refuge in virtual space.
It is nothing new, because, in fact, since 2021, some companies have tried “luck” with hybrid work (one day at home and one day in the office), as a way to return, little by little, to the “old normal”.
Nevertheless, the effectiveness of the hybrid model has led to the home office continuing to be one of the main trends towards the post-pandemic future.
And it is that, in addition, data from Statista show that, In Mexico, the home office provided several benefits to workerssuch as saving time and money in transfers to the office, an advantage that was mentioned by almost three quarters (74 percent) of those interviewed.
Tiktoker shows what it’s like to work from home in places like Vips, Starbucks and Open hub
Now, spaces to do home office or work remotely, there are several, and this is what, somehow, a tiktoker tries to demonstrate with a social experiment in which he shows what it is like to work under this modality in spaces such as Vips, Starbucks and Open huband this is what happened:
In Vips, according to what the tiktoker relates, the internet is good and he ended up spending a total of 235 pesos. For his part, at Starbucks, his experience was different, although he ended up spending around 77 pesos.
Open hub was the last space analyzed by the tiktoker, a more suitable space to work (according to what it counts), with a better internet connection and a more office environment, spending the amount of 180 pesos.
In fact, according to what he narrates in his video, the only thing he spent in these spaces was his consumption, such as coffee or different types of skacks.

Despite the fact that we still live in a pandemic context (Covid-19 is still present), the truth is that the return to daily activities is a fact and there is no turning back; however, the possibility of continuing to work remotely is still being debated.
A study conducted by Talent Solutions and Everest Group shows that 51 percent of companies anticipate that 40 percent of their employees will continue to work from home during 2022.
