This year is very special for the Tomb Raider saga, as it fulfills nothing more and nothing less than 25 years. After Square Enix opened a website to announce events and some celebratory details, it is also on the way an animation series that we hope to enjoy very soon.
Currently Netflix and Legendary Television is in production with the Tomb Raider series and, after some research with the original story and the reboots that they feel far away of the originals, they wanted to make a decision. Tasha Huo, the executive producer and writer of the series has explained in a video that will unify the timelines from Tomb Raider and will show a self-confident Lara Croft hero as seen in the first game.
“The Tomb Raider animated series will provide fans like you and me around the world with some of the the first steps to unify the timelines of Tomb Raider, as we move beyond the trilogy and begin to follow Lara’s journey to the first steps of that first game from Tomb Raider “.
Likewise, Huo also wanted to announce two characters who will be as protagonists in the anime. Earl baylon, who plays Jonah Maiava, an important character in the trilogy; while the actor Allen madlonado He will play Zip, a character who appears in classic Tomb Raider games like Tomb Raider: Chronicles.
For the moment, there is no release date for the series, but it will be interesting to know how this attempt at unification develops.
