This Friday, SEGA Japan announced a special broadcast scheduled for next Friday, June 3, where it will reveal a new project. Thanks to the clues that were given in the publication, it is believed that the announcement that SEGA is preparing has to do with a mini retro console, which could be the SEGA Dreamcast.
The announcement of the special broadcast was made by the official SEGA account on twitter, where it was confirmed that we will see the appearance of Hiroyuki Miyazaki and Yosuke Okunari. Also, the post ends by saying “Does that mean…?” with a thinking emoji, plus a photo of a chocolate SEGA Genesis controller.

The presence of Hiroyuki Miyazaki and Yosuke Okunari suggests that the announcement in the works is that of a new mini console, as the two announced the Mega Drive Mini at the 2019 Japanese Sega Festival.
Yosuke Okunari is a producer for SEGA who has worked on retro re-releases for the past 15 years, including the SEGA Ages 2500 series on PS2, the SEGA 3D Classics series for Nintendo 3DS, and the SEGA Ages series for Nintendo Switch. In addition, Okunari was in charge of choosing the content for the SEGA Mega Drive Mini.

As for Miyazaki, he is an executive manager at SEGA who has worked on a wide range of products, as well as being the project leader for the Mega Drive Mini. According to VGC, in 2020 Okunari suggested that the next mini console would be a replica of the SEGA Dreamcast.
