The official synopsis of the new episodes advances the following:
“The second season picks up right after the end of the first, telling the story of 20-something Máximo Gallardo whose dream comes true when he lands his life’s job at Acapulco’s most popular resort, Las Colinas. In 1985, Máximo must deal with everything that happens at the resort, unexpected problems at home and a new love interest, who could rival the girl of his dreams. Under the direction of Don Pablo, he is certain that one day he will run the entire Las Colinas operation and become Diane’s right-hand man. Meanwhile, in the present day, ‘Old Máximo’ returns to Acapulco to make peace with the recent passing of Don Pablo, and is forced to deal with some unfinished business left behind by young Máximo.
The creators are Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman. Winsberg, Cisneros, Shuman and Harris are also executive producing the project alongside Chris Harris. Jay Karas is an executive producer and director. In addition to starring, Derbez is an executive producer alongside Ben Odell and co-executive producer Sonia Gambaro. Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang also executive produce.
The second season of Acapulco will feature the interpretations of Eugenio Derbez as the “old Máximo” and Enrique Arrizon as Máximo in his young stage. The cast is completed by Fernando Carsa (Memo), Damián Alcázar (Don Pablo), Camila Pérez (Julia), Chord Overstreet (Chad), Vanessa Bauche (Nora), Regina Reynoso (Sara), Raphael Alejandro (Hugo), Jessica Collins ( Diane), Rafael Cebrián (Héctor) and Carlos Corona (Esteban).

When does the second season of Acapulco?
The first two episodes (there will be 10 in total) will be available on October 21, 2022 on Apple TV Plus. A new weekly episode will air every Friday until December 16.
