“At a time of global crisis, we must be completely clear about our journey and destination. The current energy crisis is just the tip of the iceberg”said Jean-Pascal Tricoire, president and CEO of Schneider Electric, globally. “As global energy demand is anticipated to triple in the next 30 years, it is vital that we implement all the technologies that are already available now to accelerate electrification, digitalization and sustainability.”
The global CEO kicked off the series of annual meetings for its largest customers, where the company will showcase numerous innovative product, software and service offerings that address the growing environmental and social issues stemming from the energy crisis and climate change.
His speech comes on the juncture of New York Climate Week, where Gwenaelle Avice-Huet, Schneider Electric’s Director of Strategy and Sustainability, called for more attention to be paid to the demand side of the energy crisis – that is, to the amount of energy consumed – often underestimated.
