The rumors were true: the second Samsung Unpacked event will take place in just one month, on August 5. While the first Unpacked, in February, came before the coronavirus crisis escalated outside of China, this second Unpacked will be virtual.
Samsung invites us on August 5 at 10:00 ET, 4:00 PM in Spain and 9:00 AM in Mexico. The star of the presentation will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, although it is quite likely that we also know the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3.
Mobile, smartwatch and foldable?
As usual, the invitation itself doesn’t add much detail, except that the latest ecosystem of Galaxy devices designed to power your life will be unveiled. The small video clears any doubts that might be about what will be the star of this event: the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, represented by its S Pen.
In a virtual Unpacked event, we will finally meet the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, supposedly composed of a Samsung Galaxy Note 20, a Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ and a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Expected with Snapdragon 865 or perhaps Snapdragon 865+ in some markets and Exynos 992 in others, with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 4,500 mAh of battery. As in the Galaxy S20, the Note 20 Ultra would have the best camera, with a 50x periscope zoom.
Another expected to make an appearance is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, which has been leaking daily for a few weeks. We know everything about the next Samsung smartwatch except its price, including its full specification table. Expected with EKG, rotating bezel, Tizen OS 5.5, and 247 mAh battery.
Lastly, although it is less likely, we could see or at least know new details of the next Samsung folding mobile. In recent days, rumors have sounded strongly that the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Fold would be called Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. In this case, the leaks are not agreed, although the latest information tells us that it would adopt the perforated screen to the front camera in addition to, of course, fold. We will leave doubts next August 5 at 16:00 in Spain.
