The popular movie Marvel Studios, Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madnesswas released earlier this month and marked the long-awaited return of sam raimi to comic book movies, but there is an interesting fact that many of us would not have thought possible; and it is that the renowned director has placed himself in an important position among the most popular horror film directors, which is why many of the fans assumed that the interesting appearance of the version of dr strange as a zombieinside the tape, was originally his idea, but in reality, it could be the opposite.
You see, the director who also directed the Spider-Man movies, with favorable results both in critics and profits at the time, but as part of his resume he also highlights that he is known for directing the Spider-Man movies. Evil Deadso interestingly during a recent interview with Polygon, the writer michael waldron talked about what it was like to work with Raimi and revealed that the iconic director was hesitant to use zombies in the film. Marvel:
“I totally wrote with Sam in mind the whole time”shared Waldron. “I had seen all his movies. I tried to really understand the dialogue in his movies because I wanted it to feel like a Sam Raimi movie, but Sam, to his credit, had no interest in going in and just playing the hit. Sam didn’t go in and He said, “I need you to give me a zombie. And actually, when I pitched him the idea of Dead Strange, there was a lot of hesitation on his part, because he didn’t want it. To make it sound like he was just saying ‘I want to do my Sam thing.’ Raimi'”.
“It wasn’t a surprise that Sam was such a delight, but I had the time of my life. Sam has become one of my dearest friends and my mentor, I guess, again, I wasn’t surprised at how much I learned about directing, I learned everything. I felt like everything there is to learn from him, over the course of this, I had a lot of fun. For a movie this difficult, this big, it shouldn’t have been as much fun as it was, but we had a lot of fun the whole time.”shared Waldron.
