It has recently been 20 years since the first film of spider-man from sam raimiand although the director has been open on numerous occasions to make a fourth installment with Tobey Maguire, it does not seem that at the moment there are serious plans to do so.
In a recent interview, Raimi says he hasn’t even pursued the idea, and doubts the studios are up for it given the success of the current Tom Holland-starring franchise.
I don’t currently have any plans to do Spider-Man 4. And they’re having so much success with the new Spider-Man series that I don’t know if that’s going to happen or not. I have not chased him.
