Indie developer Small Bros or Ivan Porrini, along with new publisher Retrovibe, plan to release BIOTA, a retro-ish platform shooter on PC on April 12th.
BIOT.A. is a 2D metroidvania-style action platformer set in a mining colony infected by an alien plague. On BIOTA you can choose your hero, fight horrific monsters and customize your retro 8-bit experience with 4 interchangeable color palettes.
BIOTA mixes the charm of retro games (including dynamic two-pixel animations) with modern convenience: full controller support, save-anywhere convenience, the ability to customize the look at any time, and a soundtrack so much fun you’ll want to record a cassette and listen to it on your Walkman.
Retrovibe is a new publisher of indie video games founded by various members of CD Projekt and the Gaming Company team (Warsaw and Project Warlock).
