Retailers maintain increases in their sales, however, they have begun to slow down. Comparable sales of retail stores in Mexico increased 6.5% in February at the interannual rate, according to figures released Monday by the National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores (ANTAD).
This increase, however, was lower than that reported last month, when they grew 10.3%, compared to the same month of the previous year.
The local union, which groups more than 47,000 establishments throughout the country, also reported that the total sales of its affiliates rose 9.4% compared to the same month in 2022.
