The Resident Evil saga is experiencing a new golden age, since after a generation on PS3 and Xbox 360 that did not end up dazzling lifelong fans, Capcom managed to redeem itself with Resident Evil 7 and the remake of the second installment. And since then everything has gone up, being Resident Evil Village even nominated for last year’s GOTY.
However, without wanting to live in the past, it must be said that there are many who point to the next installment of the saga, which has accustomed its fans to practically one title per year, be it a remake or a new installment. Under this premise, a name that has been around for a long time is Resident Eilv Outrage, which was thought to be the famous Nintendo Switch exclusive. However, this could have changed.
This is because insider Nate the Hate recently commented on his podcast that Resident Evil Outrage was a separate project from the Nintendo Switch exclusive, being destined to come out on PC and the PlayStation and Xbox consoles. And we speak in the past tense because this same figure would have confirmed that the game would have been canceled.
Resident Evil Outrage would have been canceled before its announcement
In this way, Nate The Hate comments that in 2021 he went to the RGT 85 channel, where he stated that Resident Evil Outrage was a multiplayer game that had no relation to Nintendo Switch, being Resident Evil Revelations 3 the game that we would see in the hybrid, but without being able to fully confirm it, since it is a title with which it is very difficult to obtain information.
Be that as it may, what you need to know as a basic point is that Resident Evil Outrage is not currently in development, being so, based on the fact that it was never announced by Capcom, it is very difficult to know anything about its cancellation unless there are leaks in the company as has happened in the past.
In any case, it seems that the project that could go ahead is Resident Evil Revelations 3, this being a sub-saga that emerged on Nintendo 3DS, but ended up making the leap to other platforms. In this way, we may end up seeing that this alleged Nintendo Switch exclusive will only maintain its status temporarily.
