Amicia and Hugo are no longer defenseless children.
Perhaps the latest playable demos of A Plague Tale: Requiem shown to date have not been able to convey too well the narrative and, above all, playable novelties that this sequel brings with it, which is why Asobo Studio and Focus Home Entertainment have published a new gameplay that reviews in depth the story and mechanics of this new action and stealth proposal that will arrive in the fall.
At the story level, A Plague: Tale Requiem takes place a few months after the events of the first game., in a southern region, far from the chaos and plague that plagues the north. Soon, Hugo’s illness reawakens and Amicia’s only hope to save her brother is desperately search for a mysterious island that Hugo sees in his dreams. This adventure will take them to new environments, characters and, of course, to face new threats.
In terms of gameplay, we see that Amicia has gained some experience after the events of the first game and, although she can still opt for stealth, she is now much more daring and violent when facing the guards and other dangers. One way or another, our protagonist will have more weapons, moves and tools than ever to deal with every situation.
Hugo, for his part, also has some new abilities thanks to the control it exerts over the rats of the plague., although its use seems to be limited. It promises to be one of the great novelties of this sequel.
Another novelty with respect to the first game is that from time to time the brothers will have the help of some companions on their journey, and each one will have different abilities and resources that will be of help in the confrontations.
