Report Suggests Star Wars Battlefront III Was Canceled

The present day, EA announced that they were already working on three new games for starwars, including a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order and a mysterious FPS. It is certainly not about Battlefront III, and according to new information, EA SAYS no longer has any intention of developing this title.

A new report from VentureBeat states that Star Wars Battlefront III will never see the light of day, at least not by HE SAYS. Following today’s announcement, EA will no longer make any more games starwars once they’re done with the previously announced ones, so forget about a third installment of battle front:

“DICE, developers of Battlefront, will no longer be making another Star Wars game—this according to people familiar with the ad.”

Apparently, developing a new battle front would be too expensive for EA for license reasons, so they are not willing to take a risk with something like that anymore. It’s definitely a shame, especially the way they managed to redeem Battlefront II.

Publisher’s note: Despite their problems, the Battlefront games did become quite fun, not to mention their graphics. EA’s greed ended up taking us away with an excellent shooter saga, and hopefully it can come back in the future.
