If you have already learned the first part of our route from the Dark Souls no-hit you will already know how to defeat the Gargoyles. From here things get a little more complicated, and you have to go down to Infested City, defeat Quelaag, Incessant Discharge and pass the entire Sen Fortress.
It is a fairly long process, in which we will also have to do a few strategic stops to get objects necessary to make the route safer. Get ready, because curves are coming.
Dark Souls No-Hit Guide: Quelaag and Sen’s Fortress
Road to Quelaag, Quelaag and Incessant Discharge
Take the elevator to the town of the undead. It is important that you DO NOT rest at this bonfire. Near the fire guardian’s cell you will find Lautrec, which you will have to kick into the void (light hit button + stick forward).
With Lautrec dead, return to Valley of the Dragons and go to the cave that gives access to the Swamp of Infested City.
The route to the swamp it is MUCH simpler than it sounds. As soon as you enter, run dodging the troglodytes (ALWAYS keep an eye out that they do not make the quick attack on you), and reach the first stairs.
As soon as you go down the first few steps, take a 180º turn and let yourself fall. If you do it right, you will fall to the edge of one platform, and you will be able to fall again until the next one. You’ll be down in the blink of an eye to the Ferris wheel area.
Watch out for the enemy near the Ferris wheel, get on one of the elevator platforms and wait until it is close to the ground. Drop down to the swamp, and go to the right of the log. Try not to catch the aggro of the troglodytes with the stones. Access the entrance to Quelaag, And let the poison activate your ring At that time, take the golden moss.
If you don’t have it then heal whole when the poison is 3/4 of the way out. It should run out JUST to activate the ring. The fight against Quelaag is not difficult, but it will force you to ALWAYS be aware of the terrain. Basically, you’re going to ALWAYS stay at a distance so that his sword attacks don’t hit you. Punish ONLY the attacks with which vomits a long blast of lava.
As long as I channel it, hit him on the paws. Once finished, take your distance again, ALWAYS looking at the position of the lava on the stage. When she’s dead, ring the bell, take the double humanities, and head to Relentless Discharge, heading down the crumbling wall.
Killing Download is VERY easy. Take off all your weapons, because you’re going to punch him to death. Just walk down the aisle with the clothes. Take it, and when it becomes aggressive wait for it to make the first attack to get through the shortcut and reach the entrance.
Wait for Shock to get close, and when he hits the ground, roll to avoid the hit. Bump your fist against his a few times, and you will kill him automatically. When he is dead, drop Bone Return to return to the Andre’s bonfire.
Various upgrades, Ninja Ring and Sen’s Fortress
We are going to spend some souls. The first thing will be to increase the strength until you have 23 at the stake, and then go down to talk to Andre. You will have to buy the following:
- 9 titanites
- Emblem of Artorias
- 200 arrows
- Weapons tool
- Upgrade bow to +5
With all this done, you should still have a few souls left, which we will save in case the flies. Now it’s time to go to the door (killing the trees on the way), and use the emblem. Before heading to the door, make sure to activate the red tear ring. To do this, go to the place where you killed the knight to get the grass shield and use the method from the last time: jump from the platform where the bow and arrows were.
Once the door is open, skirt the area to the left, quickly cross the portal and talk to Alvina. Doing this will make those who are chasing you stop.
When you’re already a part of the pact, go to the door and give the samurai a couple of arrows on the head. This will make him chase you, so take him to the forest that is happening to Alvina (in which there are no enemies) and run until you lose the aggro. Then use the bow to finish him off, moving away if he picks up the aggro again.
Here are two possible scenarios:
- The ninja has followed the samurai: Kill the samurai first and then the ninja, ALWAYS checking where the latter is, which is half invisible.
- The ninja has NOT followed the samurai: you will have to get close enough to the ninja to take the aggro (you will have it automatically after killing the samurai). Be careful with the barbarian with his back to the door because he can also take the aggro. Repeat the process with the ninja, pushing him away and then killing him with the bow.
With this done, you will already have the dark wood ring. Equip him and enter Sen’s fortress. Here the plan is quite straightforward: RUN past the two enemies at the entrance, and watch out for the first catwalk. Advance at a good pace, pass the snake warrior on the left (calm, he will not hit you) and go up the stairs.
This part has a bit of a trick, and that is that you have to wait a couple of blade cycles for the next spell of the serpent mage to strike against them. Once it does, go past it and proceed normally until it passes the fog. Here you fast forward, past the serpent warrior, and down the WHOLE slope quickly to the room on the left.
Before doing ANYTHING, make sure no snake man is following you. Normally they won’t, but if it happens try to dispatch it (or throw back bone if you don’t look too sure). Once you have verified that you are safe, you have to get the Symbol of Greed.
The chest you have there is a mimicry, and from it we will get a very important object. The process to get the head is VERY simple: we will use the 7 Lloyd’s Talismans so that the mimic ends up giving us his head:
- Throw a first talisman when the mimic is closed, and take the lightning spear.
- ALWAYS hit the mimic from the back, target as soon as the game allows it and throw the talismans.
- Repeat this process until all the talismans are used up and / or the head is obtained.
You can get the head before the 7 uses, but the 7 talismans SECURE the Symbol of Greed. When you have it, go up the elevator (watch out for the spikes), leave the room and go up the hill to the room with the mechanism of the balls.
Activate the trap from the ground and go backwards until it finishes activating. Advance with a firm step until you reach the ladder where the snake mage. Hit her to push her away and move forward at a good pace or you’ll be hit. Dodge the blades, watch out for the final traps on the ground, and go through the fog.
When you go through the fog, RUN until you reach the secret bonfire (It is accessed by falling through the hole you see on the right side of the image).
Turn it on and rest on it. Now, go back to the end area of the blades, get to the bottom and Lean into the hole on the right.
You will see a snake throw itself, wait a few seconds until he keeps walking and jump in too. You will reach the area in the image below, where you will have to use your bow to attract a hidden snake in the background to the left. Go hitting the ground with arrows to attract it to the second pit and get it trapped.
With the safe path, go down and get the object in the background, a ring that you will use later. When you have it, throw a bone back. From the bonfire, go up again, and take the object that is on the platform that gives access to the secret bonfire.
Now it will be time to make a difficult jump, and it is that at the crossing of the bridge you have to go left and jump the gap to get to Iron Tarkus. Buy him 14 black bombs, which we will use later. When you have done this, check that the crossbowman in the distance is not shooting at you, repeat the jump in the opposite direction and climb at a good pace.
Kill the crossbowman while reloading, equip the Symbol of Greed and wait for the ring to activate. You will have to kill the giant above to get a Piece of Titanite (one of the two safe ones on this route). Lure him to the stairs, walk away and wait for him to do the combo with which you tire. When he’s on the ground, punish him to death. Do not forget to take the object.
Come down to face the Iron Golem, a simple boss. Run inside, and wait for him to use his air blade to roll to the right. Pass between his legs, and when he hits with an attack, punish his feet so that he loses his balance and falls. If he likes him, and if he doesn’t, you will kill him before he gets up. Put on the Symbol of Greed and drink an estus to get more souls when you’ve killed him.
