One of the most anticipated projects in the world of starwars is the game of Eclipsea game confirmed for months, which is being developed by neither more nor less than QuanticDream. From its original announcement it was commented that it will be somewhat focused on action, but recently it was announced that things will have the touch of the company.
During an interview with IGN Japanthe CEO of Quantic Dream, Guillaume de Fondaumiere, confirmed that the studio’s next game will maintain what we expect from its originality. Specifically, narrative and decision-making elements that will affect the end of the title.
Here is his explanation:
I think with every new title we try to innovate, we try to explore new ground. With Star Wars Eclipse we will certainly keep the fundamental elements of a Quantic Dream game; very strong story, very strong characters, multiple playable characters, and of course giving players the ability to change, through their actions and decisions, how the story unfolds.
He also stressed that there will be certain new challenges for the study:
Where the formula is changing, we said very clearly that we’re doing an action adventure, so the action elements are going to be very important as well. This is something we can talk about in the future, but keep in mind that this is an action adventure.
When we had the opportunity to work on Star Wars, we immediately said yes because it appealed to us. But we will continue to do what we do best, which is work with passion, create our game with great attention to detail, and with Star Wars Eclipse, we want to bring a completely new and original story to the Star Wars universe.
For now, there are no more details of the game. A new advance is expected by the end of the year in The Game Awards.
