Everything seems to indicate that id Software already has the return of the legendary Quake ready, which would be presented in glory and majesty at the next QuakeCon 2021. Today, it has been published that Quake has been rated for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC by the ESRB, which gives us clues that it could be the remastered version.
Through the ESRB, the information of the game, the type, style and platforms to which it will arrive has been published. It should be noted that the QuakeCon 2021 begins today with various panels that will discuss current Bethesda games, so maybe if you’re lucky, there could be a surprise among the announcements.

Today there will be a special panel where id Software and MachineGames will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Quake, so it would not be strange to see the remastering this time. As we discussed a few days ago, the official calendar indicated that the “revitalized edition” of Quake would be featured with John Linneman of Digital Foundry speaking with Jerk Gustafsson of MachineGames. Subsequently, this calendar was erased, so suspicions increased considerably.
In addition to the legendary Quake, many other Bethesda titles will be featured at QuakeCon 2021. Deathloop, Fallout 76, Fallout Worlds and DOOM Eternal are just some of those who will say yes to the quote, unveiling new features and functions coming to games soon. We will have to be aware if they do present Quake, but with the leak of the ESRB, everything seems to indicate that it is more than safe.
