This is the new feature of PS5.
Two months after offering the feature in North America and Japan, Sony has now shared the rest of the world with the ability to upload captures from PlayStation 5 (or PS4) to your mobiles. The PlayStation App feature has been spotted by users on the PS5 subreddit, who have begun to confirm its appearance in Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Spain, and Italy, as well as non-European regions such as South Africa, India, and parts of the Middle East.
Until this feature was released, PlayStation gamers were unable to transfer their screenshots from the console to the PlayStation mobile app, which meant gamers had to use their console to share their images or videos on social media to then download them from there.
The PlayStation Mobile App feature now allows the linked console to automatically upload screenshots, being available to save on the mobile device for 14 days. In this way, players will be able to save them as they please or edit or upload them to social networks as they wish.
Yesterday, PS5 and PS4 received a new update with various functions such as the possibility of creating or joining open and closed Parties, redesign of the user interface of the Game Base card and PS5 Trophies, and mono audio as a novelty in accessibility. A voice control system (in English) and a new category of cards, “Pro Tips”, have also been added to the Control Center.
Meanwhile, rumors about the launch of a hypothetical PlayStation 5 Pro are increasing. However, it should be remembered that it would still be at least two years before its launch.
