The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has accepted the application for registration of the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF, whose shares will be listed on Arca, the New York Stock Exchange.
According to an Oct. 15 notice from the Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC, the agency has accepted the registration of the securities of the ProShares Trust’s publicly traded Bitcoin (BTC) Stratey fund, offering exposure to the crypto asset with futures contracts. Additionally, ProShares submitted a post-effective amendment prospectus, which states that its ETF could launch as early as October 18.
The asset will be listed on the NYSE Arca if the SEC officially approves the application. Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart reported that the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF will trade on the BITO ticker at 95 basis points.
The possible inclusion of ProShares comes after the company asked withdraw your application for an Ethereum ETF with the SEC in August. At the time, ProShares said it had not sold any securities related to the potential offering.
