The new leaks of Pokémon Scarlet and Purple suggest that the ninth generation will include more than 100 new species.
As the release date approaches Pokemon Scarlet and Purple for the next one November 18 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, the rumors and alleged leaks of the ninth generation of Game Freak do not stop happening, as is the case of the possibility that there is a fire-type Pikachu. Of course, all this information must be taken as rumours, since if they are all true, we would be facing an unprecedented leak in the franchise. Now, it might as well have been released the total number of new Pokemon that will debut this time.
This time you have to turn to CentroLeaks to receive this information, where a supposed source would have revealed a window of the new Pokémon for Scarlet and Purple. Apparently, the ninth generation would include between 120 and 140 new Pokémonwhere all the debuting species, regional forms, and new converging Pokémon, as well as past and future formssomething that is not officially confirmed at the moment, so it will have to be taken with tweezers.
If this information is confirmed, we would have one of the recent generations with the highest number of Pokémon. In Galar a total of 96 new Pokémom were included, while the seventh generation in Alola included 82 and in Kalos there were only 72 new creatures. Thus, Scarlet and Purple could be the generation that includes the most new Pokémon since the fifth in Unova.
The converging Pokémon would be versions very similar to the originals with another type
Another of the great leaks that has emerged in recent times would be the appearance of converging pokemona new species that would be based on a very similar design to the originals, but with another color and different type. This would fit perfectly with the fire Pikachu that we discussed previously. The great peculiarity of this is that they would have a different name than the original Pokémon and a new Pokédex numberso they would enter the range of new species.
It will be time to wait for Nintendo and Game Freak to offer official news about Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, something that should happen during this summer. For now, it will be time to settle for imagining what all these leaks could be like in the new installment of the franchise that prepares its arrival on Nintendo Switch.
