Meowth will return in its Galar regional form for Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, although it will only be available through trade.
Pokemon Scarlet and Purple is less than two months away from its exclusive launch on Nintendo Switch, something that will happen next November 18th. As the moment approaches, The Pokémon Company and Game Freak continue to offer some official details, although the movement continues to focus on the rumors and in leaks of what could appear in the ninth generation, as an interesting detail related to Team Star, the rival team from the Paldea region. Now, it has also been revealed that some regional forms of Galar will return.
And the rumors say that there will be very few regional versions of Paldea to make their debut in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, focusing solely on the Wooper evolutionary line and the various Tauruses. However, as the Twitter account CentroLeaks points out, in the ninth generation there will be a return of regional forms from other editions, as is the case of the Galarian Meowth. In fact, it is highlighted that it can be achieved through exchangesince it is the claim of one of the teachers who asks for a Pawmi in return.
POKÉMON SCARLET AND VIOLET LEAKS (part 19)
– You can get a Galarian Meowth via in-game trade (teacher requests a Pawmi). This form is not on the Pokédex.

This means that the evolution of Meowth that made its debut in Galar, Perrserker, will also return this time to join the Pokédex of the Paldea region. We will have to see what other versions of regional Pokémon return in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple.
Pokémon Scarlet and Purple will exceed 100 new Pokémon
It should be remembered that the total number of new Pokémon that will debut in the Paldea region was leaked some time ago. According to such information, there will be 105 creatures that will make their debut this time, adding the native Pokémon, the regional forms and the Pokémon paradox, which will offer past and future forms of already existing species. Nevertheless, what is unknown at the moment is how many Pokémon in total will be part of the Paldea Pokédexalthough everything indicates that it will be a similar number to that seen in Galar, about 400.
Of course, all these details will be revealed on November 18, when the official premiere of Pokémon Scarlet and Purple takes place, since It is unlikely that The Pokémon Company and Game Freak will comment on it in the weeks remaining until launch.
