Pokémon Scarlet and Purple offers the first open world experience in the Pokémon universe, so the order of the gyms will be completely free.
Pokemon Scarlet and Purple recently leaked the types of all gyms and High Command in the Paldea region, so players can now start preparing for what the next November 18th, when the installments of the ninth generation officially debut on Nintendo Switch. However, the leaks and rumors have not stopped there and have now been made known. the locations and recommended order to take on the gyms depending on the levels they will have.
In this way, thanks to the CentroLeaks Twitter account, we can already get an idea of what will be the ideal route through the Paldea region to follow the mission of the gyms and be able to face the challenge of the Pokémon League. A Pokémon League that, in addition, can be accessed at any time, but without the relevant medals you cannot participate in it. Thus, the recommended order to tackle them would be as follows:

- Plant or Bug (level 10, approximately)
- Water or Electric (level 20, approximately)
- Electric or Water (level 20, approximately)
- Normal (level 30, approximately)
- Ghost (approximately level 40)
- Ice (approximately level 45)
- Psychic (approximately level 50)

However, as The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have already confirmed, the order of the gyms can be followed depending on the path of the player, although it will obviously be difficult to face the psychic-type gym at the beginning of the adventure. In addition, it is also noted that in order to access some of them, some of the functions of Miraidon and Koraidon will be necessary to climb or fly, for example.
The location of the Paldea gyms will be very varied
One of the things that stands out most about the location of the Pokémon Scarlet and Purple gyms is their distribution between east and west, with a very even relationship of levels to be able to climb in the adventure. In this way, as these leaks point out, there will be a first class gym (approximately level 10) and another of the next (level 20) in any of the routes that are initially taken, which will allow access to them without too many complications.
The first two pairs really depend on which path you choose, west or east. You can then go back later to do the pair at the other side. pic.twitter.com/Lf8lX13mFD

The interesting thing about this formula is that, if the player does not know the location and order of the gyms in the region, he will be able to face really complicated situations that will force him to look for other alternatives to move forward. We’ll have to see how this translates to the actual experience when it arrives on November 18 and Pokémon Scarlet and Purple debut exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
