The football that is part of this acclaimed industry is one of the favorites globally, where FIFA, the highest body that governs this sport, indicates in its 2020 financial report that that year it registered 5,125 million dollars. Meanwhile, in terms of advertising and marketing, FIFA can enter around 2 million US dollars into its accounts, as demonstrated in its 2021 report.
Likewise, Deloitte data, indicate that LaLiga’s revenue stood, in 2021, at 3,117 million euros in the 2019/20 season. The Spanish competition fell to third place, seeing itself surpassed by the Bundesliga with 3,208 million euros, according to the 30th edition of the ‘Annual Review of Football Finance’ report.
Piqué retires from football and from FC Barcelona
The news that has surprised everyone this Thursday is the retirement of Spaniard Gerard Piqué, from the king of sports and from the Barça team. According to a publication made by the 35-year-old player, his last game will be this Saturday, when Barcelona hosts Almería for the Spanish League.
