It is a British car, the Bentley GTX 700, a very peculiar personalized sports car. To the surprise of many, Pep Guardiola resigned what was the most expensive car of a Premier League coach to show himself aboard a much cheaper car. Slide and find out more!
There are many sports stars who, once they reach fame, satisfy their automotive desires. A few others prefer to keep a low profile, even if that means ditching a Bentley, as current Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola did.
The Spaniard is often involved in car accidents as a result of crashes he causes. He is far from being an excellent driver, although different interesting models passed through his hands, such as the Bentley GTX 700.
This car is a sports car customized by the Onyx company, which was responsible for raising the extraordinary performance of the original model. Although it retains its W12 engine, instead of continuing with the 575 CV already known by the British firm, its power was increased to 700 CV.
As expected, Pep’s Bentley was also damaged in a crash, for which he had to change his vehicle again. While many imagined that the coach’s garage would welcome a luxury car, the reality reflected a completely opposite choice.
The toy that replaced the Bentley GTX 700 was a Mini Cooper. Few football stars opt for this brand, N’Golo Kanté is one of them, but it was not an impediment for Pep to travel in an “economic” car.
Despite being a much cheaper car, the Mini Cooper was also damaged by the Manchester City manager. As if that were not enough, the Frenchman was also shown aboard his Mini, which was crashed, just like the Spanish one.
The price difference is abysmal. While the cost of the Bentley is $267,000, the Mini was only purchased for $40,000. The truth is that if Guardiola continues to drive as he does, it will not be very profitable for him to buy high-end cars.
