Pep Guardiola, coach of the Manchester City, has been chosen coach of the month for December in the Premier League. The Spaniard already has eleven awards, only behind Alex Ferguson, who has 27, and Arsene Wenger, who has 15, in the historical classification of this award.
Guardiola, who already won the award in November, has guided City to achieve seven wins in December, placing the team as the outstanding leader of the Premier League. Among the victories, the beatings of Leeds by 7 to 0 and Newcastle, by 4 to 0, stand out.
He beat Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Tottenham Hotspur’s Antonio Conte, and Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp in the vote. This is the second prize for the coach of the month who wins consecutively, after also taking the November award.
Manchester City chain eleven consecutive wins in the Premier. Neither Chelsea nor Liverpool have managed to keep up with the dizzying pace of citizens in the English League. The last defeat suffered by the Manchester team in domestic competition was on October 30, 0-2 against Crystal Palace.
